Shepherd’s Hut

If a night under the stars isn’t for you then our Shepherds Huts are a warm, comfortable and secure alternative to camping. Our Log Burner Shepherds Hut sleeps two adults. It is located approximately 10m from the shore line with fantastic views of Bala lake.It comes equipped with double bed (sleeps 2 adults, no children under 12 years), wood burning stove, single gas stove, tables and chairs for 2 people and a re-chargeable lamp. This Hut does not have any electricity. Our second Shepherd’s Hut is also positioned on the lake front and boasts beautiful views of the Bala Lake and Mountains. This Hut has an electric heater rather than a log burner to keep you cosy and warm,so more suited to those of you with Children, who perhaps aren’t ready for a night in a tent just yet. It has a double bed with pull out bed for a child (sleeps 2 adults and 1 child) and is kitted out just like the Log burner Hut with small gas stove and chairs.

Shepherd’s Hut 3 has views over the lake and is slightly set back from the other Huts. It is about 12’ by 6’4’’ internally. It has a fixed small double bed  (122cm x 192cm) with a covered foam mattress. The other bed is a small single with covered foam mattress. It can sleep a maximum of 3 people (2 Adults & 1 Child) with 2 sharing the small double. We do not allow dogs in the Hut but they are welcome to sleep in your car.

The Hut is connected to mains hook up and has plug sockets, a small oil filled heater and LED lighting.

Unlike our other Huts, it is not fully equipped with a gas stove or chairs so you will need to bring all your bedding (pillows, duvet, sleeping bag etc) camping cooker/BBQ, cooking equipment, cutlery, crockery, chairs etc. You can buy charcoal from reception. There is a picnic bench outside for your use and a small lean-to for cooking under.

You will need to bring sheets, duvet or sleeping bag, pillow and a cool box for your food, we can re freeze the ice blocks in reception at no extra charge but if you would like to make charitable donation we always support Welsh Air Ambulance.

We do not allow dogs in the huts, although they are welcome on site.
